Our Graduate Stylist, Abigail, will be qualifying in a few weeks. Recently, in our usual programme of one to ones and mentoring, we identified an area of her practice that she was struggling with – specifically short bobs and graduations.
To help her develop her skills, we put her on a week long foundation cutting course at the L’Oréal Academy in Hammersmith. This has been a very busy time for her, learning new cutting skills, and having a real light bulb moment in terms of her technique. She describes how she has ‘started to get to grips with really understanding angles and positioning my hands – which has just not made sense to me until this week.’
As well as increasing her confidence behind the chair, it has also been important for Abigail’s personal growth, as it was the first time she has spent an extended period in London.
We are really pleased with Abigail’s development and her achievements. Investing in our team’s continuing professional development is so important because they are our ambassadors. As they gain more knowledge and expertise, we can continue to be confident that our Private Jet Promise is being fulfilled for every client who walks through our doors.
