Powderpuff girls pamper, primp and preen at new Ashby salon
Ladies in Leicestershire enjoyed a good night of old fashioned pampering and preening courtesy of Barrie, who enlisted the expertise of the Powderpuff girls to help him celebrate the opening of the new Ashby salon.
The group of beauties made up of professional make up artists and manicurists – immaculately turned out in 1950s pink dresses – arrived in all their silver screen glamour to administer some sophisticated primping to Barrie’s friends and customers in Ashby.
Around 60 women attended the event and Barrie himself was also on hand to give some quick fix hair styling and cutting. He said:
“We had a fantastic time! We held the big opening night party at the beginning of June right after the building work had finished which was brilliant, but now it’s my aim to celebrate the salon launch with a series of more bespoke events for my customers. This was a really fun evening put on for the women to enjoy some professional beauty treatment and feel really special – have their make-up, nails and hair done – and enjoy a glass of fine champagne as well! My customers are the lifeblood of the business, so I wanted to host a special evening to give them something back and to thank them for their ongoing support.
“The Powderpuff girls were great entertainers and all the ladies went away looking absolutely gorgeous!”
Since opening two weeks ago, the salon has seen a deluge of bookings and is definitely the place to be seen in Ashby!
