Barrie judges the Irish hairdressing business awards

Barrie Stephen has been catapulted onto the European hairdressing stage after being selected by global giant Schwarzkopf Professional to judge the Irish Hairdressing Business Awards in Dublin.

The Leicestershire Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 was hand-picked from thousands of other salon directors all over the country to judge at the national awards which are now in their sixth year. Barrie was invited to the adjudicating board after impressing Schwarzkopf Professional with his proven business success and expertise in training up other hairdressing salon owners in the UK and Ireland. Over the past few years, Barrie has regularly traveled to Belfast and Dublin and to other salons throughout Britain where he has taught numerous hairdressing teams the best ways to manage their salons, gain new clients and take their businesses forward.

Barrie is delighted to be judging the European competition:

“It’s amazing to be chosen by Schwarzkopf Professional to play such an important role in their event. Hairdressing is a wonderful career for creative and artistic expression but you have to have an excellent head for business as well. I’m honoured to be taking part in the awards and extremely proud to have been recognised as a leading figure in the UK salon business industry.”

The Irish Hairdressing Business Awards attract all of Ireland’s top salon owners and stylists and identify and acknowledge business excellence within the Professional Hairdressing Industry. Among the panel of four independent judges, to which Barrie Stephen has been appointed, is former creative director of Vidal Sassoon Tim Hartley and former Australian hairdresser of the Year Anthony Whittaker.
