Salon Stylist of the Year nomination
Barrie Stephen’s respected status in the hairdressing industry was further recognised this week after he was announced finalist for Hair Magazine’s ‘Salon Stylist of the Year’ competition.
Shortlisted Barrie will now be judged by a panel of hairdressers, beauty experts and specially selected Hair magazine readers who will decide on the winner and crown the new title holder on 23rd September.
To reach the final stages of the competition, Barrie impressed the judges with a strong portfolio of salon work, outlining why he was one of the best stylists in the UK. Amongst many memorable events and moments over the past twelve months, Barrie named winning Leicestershire Entrepreneur of the Year 2007, the ongoing success of the blow-dry bar, the launch of the online shop and website, ‘The Cut’ in-salon magazine, and finding the face of 69 magazine as the salon’s most defining events of 2007-2008.
Barrie’s nomination for Salon Stylist of the Year is his second from popular industry read, Hair magazine whose readers voted him into the final of the ‘I want that hair’ category after choosing a stunning Barrie Stephen hairstyle – which they considered to be one of the most beautiful and wearable looks of the season.
The awards, now in their third year, showcase the very best in the hairdressing industry and come after another title nomination for ‘UK Most Wanted Business Pro of the Year’ award, run by Creative HEAD magazine, which also identified Barrie as a leader in his field.
